About the Sales Tax tool
Enter an amount and a tax rate to get the tax value and gross total. Use the “remove tax” direction when a price already includes tax and you need the net figure back.
For tax-inclusive prices the net amount is amount ÷ (1 + rate). That back-solve is the step people most often get wrong by subtracting instead of dividing.
Everything runs locally in your browser: no data is uploaded, no account is needed, and it works offline once the page has loaded.
