About the Password tool
Choose a length and which character sets to include. The password is generated with your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator and never leaves your device.
Longer beats more symbols: a 16-character passphrase-style password is usually easier to type and harder to crack than an 8-character one. Turn off look-alike characters (0/O, 1/l) when a password must be read aloud or typed from paper.
Everything runs locally in your browser: no data is uploaded, no account is needed, and it works offline once the page has loaded.
